Virtual Connections Thru Puppetry
this project grew out of Puppet Camp
   
  Objective
 
  • Teach basic academic subject areas, promote literacy, encourage positive social experiences, promote positive relationships and preserve cultural heritage.
  • Use of technology tools and resources to enhance learning, increase productivity, and promote creativity.
  • Building virtual relationships across cultures (race, class, abilities, etc). This will be a valuable skill for future success as the workforce is becoming global, and virtual careers are more common.
 

Process

 
 
  • Volunteers and teachers design a program.
  • Submit request for media system.
  • Use media system to write scripts, design stages, film and view shows.
  • Use creative story telling via puppetry to educate others who are different from you.
  • Use computers to build virtual connections between the schools.
