In Memory of Parker
"It Could Have Been Me" by Holly Near
Verse by emma's revolution

Two peaceful loving women
Drove home on New Year's Day
Stopped to help a stranger
They'd passed along the way
The man was armed and angry
And he shot those women down
Still their work for peace and justice
Will always echo through this town

It could have been me, But instead it was you
So I'll keep doing the work you were doing as if I were two
I'll be a student of life, a singer of songs
A farmer of food and a righter of wrong
It could have been me, but instead it was you
So I'll keep doing the work you were doing as if I were two
